Once again, we went to the Corryton Food Pantry to bag groceries. We always have a great time together there, but every month we are all aware of how great the need is in our own community. Each month there are more families who need assistance, but the shelves are almost bare. Please take a minute to give thanks daily for what you have, and if given the chance, please give to this worthy cause.

There will be an imformative class to learn more about breast cancer including risk factors, warning signs, and the importance of early detection this Thursday night January 14 at the church. It will begin at 7:00p.m.. Women of all ages are encourages to attend. The class will be conducted by members of the Beast Health Outreach Team at UT Medical Center. Our newest members are Micheal Hooper, Alena Scarlett, and T.J. Geissberger. Outreach Christmas Dinner

Thursday night the Outreach Committee hosted the 2nd Annual Christmas Dinner for the families that were a part of the program this year. They were served a delicious meal, treated to Christmas carols, and a very special reading of the Christmas story. To top the evening off, we had a surprise visit from The Big Guy himself, Santa Clause! The nice and a few naughty got to sit on Santa's lap. It was a beautiful evening of sharing God's love with those who are in need of Him most.

Tonight the children and youth of the church presented the program "Can We Have A Real Christmas Tree?" It was a wonderful performance. If you were unable to attend, you missed a real blessing. After, we enjoyed some fellowship and food before wrapping and packing food boxes and gifts for the outreach families. The church has many more Christmas services to enjoy, please make plans to come out and worship during this most wondrous time of the year.

Pantry Night

What a beautiful week we have had this week. God has blessed us with beautiful weather. Wednesday nights at Clapp's Chapel just keep getting better. The choir is sounding just beautiful. The air is filled with the sound of the holidays. The prayer group continues to lift those in need up to the Lord. Confirmation class is well under way. The younger kids are learning about Jesus and His awesome love for us. In fact, I was serenaded to a beautiful rendition of "Jesus Loves Me" on the way home by 3 very special young ladies. And the youth group went to the Corryton Food Pantry to bag groceries. Here are some thoughts from some of the kids on what this means to them.

FROM MACY SHARP:

"It was a blessing to get to help my church youth friends bag food for the needy in our community. On the first Wednesday of the month, we go to the food pantry to try to beat our record on bagging. We pick our positions and the timer starts. Our treat for the night is going to Twisters for ice cream. It is always an Awesome time."

FROM ANNIE GOLDMAN:

"So tonight at the Corryton Food Pantry we bagged groceries for the families that need assistance. It's such a wonderful feeling to know that we're helping people we may know. They appreciate it so much. We're blessed to be so fortunate. Anyone who would like to join us in giving back to the community is welcome!"

Trunk or Treat

Nothing could dampen the spirits of all who braved the nasty weather for the Clapps Chapel Annual Trunk or Treat. Everyone had an amazing time playing games, trick or treating, and fellowshipping. Kathy Hopper did an amazing job, as always. A great time was had by all.

In an effort to share the Youth Groups journey with Christ, we are going to use our blog to share thoughts, ideas, and stories on how to be "Just Like Jesus". We are talking about "Learning to Have a Heart Like His". Our thoughts tonight were "What if, for one day, Jesus were to become you?
Here are a few thoughts from some of the kids:

FROM REGAN STOLTZ
"The youth group at CCUMC talked about something very interesting and actually caught my attention.
Dannette brought a book tonight. It talked about "what if our Lord Jesus Christ took over our lives?"
Well what if? what if he did? would your friends notice? would your parents see a difference? would it be any different than how you are living now?
The book also told a story similar to the theme of the "quote" above. It said a mother and her daughter went to the park to play in the sandbox.
Later an icecream truck came by. The mom had gotten up to buy her daughter a treat.
When the mother turned back to her daughter, she found her with dirt in her mouth. The mom had loved her were she was sitting. she loved her period, but she would not allow the dirt in her mouth.
The mother then picked her daughter up and took her over to the water fountian and washed her mouth out.
That is what Jesus does for us. He will wash the dirt out of our mouths and give us some ice cream."

"We learned that Jesus loves you no matter what. Here's an important question. What if for one day Jesus was you? Now picture this. A mom and her child went to the park to play. The mom goes and gets the child some ice cream. The mom comes back and the child has a mouth full of dirt. Would the mom allow her child to have a mouth full of dirt? Of couse not. The mother got her child and washed her mouth out. And that is what Jesus does for us. He washes away our sins."

The youht group had the honor of bagging grogeries at the Corryton Food Pantry again tonight. They bagged 130 bags in 10 minutes and 44 seconds. That is a Clapp's Chapel Youth Group record! After we closed with a word of prayer, we had some great fellowship at Twisters.

Last night we went to the pantry for our monthly grocery bagging. We had to drive 7 vehicle to transport everyone who wanted to go and help. It is so heart warming to see how hard our kids work and the pride that they put into this job. They bagged 120 bags in 7 minutes! We always close with a word of prayer before we leave and one ok the kids always lead us. They never forget to ask a special blessing for the pantry and the people they serve. Everyone should be very proud of this group of young people. They are the best! I encourge all of you to post comments on the blog with words of encouragement for them.

Last night was our last night of VBS. It has been an amazing week. We had 97 in total attendance. John and Kathy Hooper have done an outstanding job. The kids have had a great time and come away with some valuable lessons. If you were not a part of VBS this past week, you have truly missed a blessing. Last night was the biggest night so far. There was 106 in attendance! It has been an awesome week. There has been singing, dancing, puppets, skits and some wonderful bible stories. The Scouts came last night and provided some fun activities and snacks. The highlight of the evening was the tie-dye t-shirts the kids made for crafts. I have to brag on our youth group. They have been so enthisiastic this week. They have helped with the kids, provided some funny entertainment and been a real example for the younger ones. Thanks guys!

It is the most wonderful time of the year. Vacation Bible School kicks off this Sunday night. The church is undergoing the transformation into a wilderness camp. We returned home tired and soggy late last night, but we had an amazing day at Dollywood with our youth group. We had 14 kids, 6 adults, and 2 of our younger kids who made the trip. Even with the heat, a good time was had by all.

The yard sale for the youth group was a great success. All the kids worked hard and we had some great help from the adults of the church. We want to thank everyone for the donations. We had so much left over that we will have it again this Friday and Saturday. We will be moving it out doors, so look for us in the front parking lot.

We had a great evening at the Pantry. We bagged over 170 bags in 10 minutes! Keep the Pantry in your prayers as well as the people they serve. The need continues to grow. After, we went to Twisters for fellowship and a well deserved treat.

Sunday School & Food Drive

It has been a great weekend in the life of our church. The Food Drive was a tremendous success. $1774.00, 55 large boxes of food, 200 lbs. of potatoes and a refridgerator full of margarine was collected. A big thank you to EVERYONE who heped with this worthy cause. Our Sunday School classes have also been working very hard collecting Pennies for the Pantry. This was a contest between all the Sunday school classes. The winner was the Pastor's class who collected $201.00. The total for all the classes was $644.84! That is a grand total of $2418.84 that has been raised!

During Sunday School on May 31, 3 people were recognized for perfect attendance. Alexis Greenwell, Nicole Ezell and Shane Ezell! Congratulations. Come and join us for Sunday School. You won't regret it!

Youth Lock In and Food Drive

It has been a busy weekend for the men's group and the youth. The men have been at the IGA collecting donations for the Corryton Food Pantry since Thrusday. Collections are up from last year! The Youth began Friday night with pizza, then we joined the men's group to help with collecting and sorting food. Afterwards, we went back to the church for a time of fellowship. The food drive continued through today. The youth group took in a moviethis afternoon. Be sure and be at church tomorrow morning for the announcement of the class that won the pennies for the pantry contest. I have heard rumors that a great deal of money was raised. Thanks to ALL who have helped with this worthy cause.

Wednesday Night Youth

The youth met tonight to make plans for the summer. Our first big event is this Friday night. We will meet at the church at 6:00 for pizza. After we eat, we will join the men's group at the IGA to help collect food and donations for the Corryton Food Pantry. The need at the pantry has grown temendously. They are to the point of having to turn needy families away. Please come out and help support those in need in our community. Canned goods are great, but monitary donations are better. For every dollar given, they can purchase $7.00 of food. The men's group will be there this Thursaday beginning at 2:00 p.m. thru Saturday night at 9:00 p.m. If you can volunteer to help with the collections, they would be very grateful.

It was an awesome night at the pantry - 21 of our youth turned out to bag groceries~ This month, instead of the visit to Twisters after the Pantry, the youth donated their ice cream money to the pantry instead. April is Mission Madness Month in the Holston Conference.

The youth are challenging the congregation to skip a dinner out or another entertainment activity this month and donate that money to the Corryton Food Pantry as part of our mission project! There is a great need in our community and we are up to 120 bags per week. Your generosity goes far!!!!!

Another awesome year of Resurrection 09 for our youth. They had a fantastic weekend of fun, fellowship and growing in the word of God. One challenge that I heard from my daughter was to keep the fire alive throughout the year. Bottle the energy and share it with others all year!!!!!!!

Thanks to all of the adult leaders and congregation that made this trip another success. Everyone makes these trips and learning experiences meaningful to our youth. Prayer is a powerful thing.

Our kids got off to Resurrection 09 without a hitch! They enjoyed a wonderful snack supper before leaving (Many thanks to our awesome kitchen crew). They all donned their new hoodies and were driving out of the parking lot at 5 PM on the dot. Please pray for our kids and leaders this weekend for safety and that God will add his many blessings to the reading of his word.

I know that I heard from one totally ecstatic child (my Sydney) after the first session and if that is any indication of the rest of the kids then they will all come back renewed and ready to share with our congregation. :-)!!!!!!!!

Random Acts of Kindness

Many of you may know that I manage several Section 8 Communities for a living. We promote resident activities at each property and one of our biggest parties of the year is Christmas. Our own Richard Wright, took some time out of his day to help me out at Tillery Ridge by playing Santa. The kids were so excited. Usually, one of our maintenance staff play Santa and the kids try to figure out who he is. This year they were totally baffled.

Richard was awesome and the kids and adults had a great time. It's random acts of kindness that make such a big difference in someone else's life. Thank you so much Richard for bringing some love to Tillery Ridge this week!

Clapp's Chapel Christmas Dinner for our Outreach Families

Clapp's Chapel started a new tradition this year. Our 1st Annual Christmas Dinner/Party for our Outreach Families. On Thursday, December 18th we hosted 19 outreach families, 8 church families, Denise Morrissey's Girl Scouts (5) and their families, for a total of 110 and 120 people.

The families enjoyed a traditional Christmas dinner (turkey breast, dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, cranberry sauce, rolls, ice cream & cookies, ice tea & lemonade). Ben Greenwell talked to everyone about the programs of the church and invited everyone to attend. Opie Legg gave a devotional message. The Girl Scouts (besides helping to serve) then had a pinning ceremony.

Last but not least Santa came and gave each family gifts. Each family received toys and clothes for the children, a energy assistance check, and boxes of food. EVERYONE, without exception, had a GREAT time. GOD is so Good. Thank you to everyone who made this wonderful evening possible.

The Outreach committee plans to be in contact with these families in the near future and continue to bring the message of Jesus Christ to them.

Hanging of the Greens

The Hanging of the Greens Service was magnificent. The church was decorated and ready to celebrate the birth of Christ. This, the first Sunday of Advent was truly eventful with beautiful singing by the choir, Gayle and Amanda Atkins, Jeff and introducing Jerry Bowling. The children carried poinsettias and decorated the tree with crismons. The kids also sang Happy Birthday to Jesus. This promises to be the very best time of the year. We all have a lot to be Thankful for.

Trunk or Treat was a huge success. A night filled with games, monster mashing, candy and a menu that included dogs on a bun, monster mash chili, wiggly cheese, blood (ketchup), smashed dandelions (mustard), fluffy clouds (mayonnaise), Flakes off of Bones (Chips) and Swamp Water (tea, lemonade, and water).

Our Judges, Angie, Dean and Wes Sharp aka, Here Comes Da Judges, unanimously voted the Boling Family had the Best Decorated Truck or Treat Vehicle.

I wanted to share with you a concert we attended at the Northside YMCA featuring DC Riggs and Dishwater Blonde - both christian bands. All of the money raised was donated to the Change A Life Campaign. This Campaign is so cool because it allows children, adults and families to participate in activities at the Y no matter what their income.

Some of the activities include swimming lessons, sporting leagues and fitness scholarships. I know many of you participate in activities at the Y. Tyler, Drew and Ryan Hackworth work at the Y. The Change A Life Campaign stays in the Halls area and benefits over 186 families. Hope you enjoy some of the fun and fellowship from the concert.

Thank you for the many cards and emails. We love and miss you all. Please pray that God will send us where he wants us to be. We have been visiting and staying close to God. I welcome anyone who would like to continue the blog. There is so much to share and so many hearts to touch.

VBS - Choose to Obey - Tacky Tourist Night

Tonight's theme was "Choose to Obey". The Bible is our instruction manual on how to live your life. There are many distractions in today's world that try to make us turn and choose not to obey God's word. Friends, TV, Magazine, Games etc. show us a way of life that is not how God meant for us to live. Choose to Obey, make the right choices, Eternity will be AWESOME!

Tonight was tacky tourist night too. I think Richard wins the award for the tackiest. The youth had a chocolate milk relay and an ice cream sandwich eating contest. YUM! We had our highest attendance for the week - 21!

Tomorrow night's theme is "Choose Jesus" and dress up as your favorite amusement park character.

VBS - Choose to Forgive - Crazy Hair Night

Dana led our youth in a lesson on how you should be careful what you say and how you act. Sometimes asking forgiveness is like squirty cheese, its hard to get the cheese back in the can,
once you have squirted it out.

Each night the youth who displays the most christlike behavior is "crowned" the Righteous Ringleader Award". Tonight Elaine was our Righteous Ringleaderess.

The theme of the night was "Choose to Forgive" God wants us to forgive others as he forgives us for our sins. The Bible says to forgive 70 x 7 x per day! Tonight was also Crazy Hair Night.

The youth had a pie eating relay and played pictionary. It has been a battle between the boys and the girls. Tomorrow Night's theme is "Choose to Obey" and it is "tacky tourist night".

Dannette said it this morning - we have some awesome kids at Clapp's Chapel. We want to congratulate Olivia Wheeler - Her team, the Gibbs Lady Eagles placed 2nd in the state over the weekend. They had to battle the heat but came out victorious!!!!

Olivia scored a home run too - Matthew was very supportive too with his blue Mohawk!

Way to go girl!!!!!

Youth Group Rummage Sale

We had a GREAT rummage sale - The kids worked really hard last night getting things ready. They were there bright and early this morning to get things set up. We had a lot of help and support from members of our congregation too!!! Thank you so much!!!!!!!

We have so much stuff we are going to have an indoor rummage sale next Saturday from 8 AM - 12 PM in the fellowship hall. We raised $1040.00 today!

United Methodist Men's Group Food Drive for the Pantry

The United Methodist Men's Group Annual Food Drive for Hunger Awareness was a HUGE success. They filled up Jim's truck FOUR times. In addition they also raised over $1200 for the Corryton Food Pantry. They would like to express their thanks to the Corryton and Gibbs community for their generosity.

The kids had another great night at the Corryton Food Pantry. We had a praise - Ouida has been released from the hospital and is feeling much better. Sue and Glenna are holding down the Pantry in her and Bill's absence. Let's keep all of them in our prayers.

We also met the treasurer tonight. She was so gracious about the proceeds from the Bake Sale and the Food Drive the UMM had last week. God is Good. We are up to 120 bags vs. 100 bags due to the demand. We had a new food tonight - Potatoes.

Fifteeen New Members Today!

This morning we added 15 New members to Clapp's Chapel United Methodist Church. Sydney Greenwell, Sarah White, Brittney Hall, Cody Beeler, Dallas Buckner, Bryan Roberts, Austin Danna, Joey Smith, Elaine McGinnis, Shelby Verran, Sydney Steele, Marcia Smith, George Smith, & Ken and Ginger Emes.

David also mentioned that the United Methodist baptise by immersion, sprinkling and pouring. All three of the kids who were baptised this morning chose pouring, which was a first for David. Sydney Steele, Shelby Verran and Elaine McGinnis were baptised this morning before joining the church.

The sweetest sound was our kids reciting the verses to join the church in unison. God is good.

Tonight our kids finished up their confirmation class. This is our largest class in a while. We are having a special service on Saturday Night at 6 PM at Opie and Gina's house for the kids who will be baptized by immersion.

Sunday morning the rest of the kids will be baptized by pouring before they all become members of the church. Both services will be very special.

Galatians 3:27~And all who have been united with Christ in baptism have put on Christ like putting on new clothes.

We had another great night at the Pantry. Matthew set his timer and we were done in 12 minutes. After the Pantry the kids went back to the church and played basketball. We had a great time of fellowship and fun.

We are looking forward to welcoming all of our upcoming 6th graders to youth this summer.

Franklin Graham Festival - April 26, 2008

The children and youth from Clapp's Chapel attended the activities at the Franklin Graham Festival yesterday. We had one of our Andy's, Meleah Dodson, make the decision for Christ. Several of our youth rededicated their faith last night too. The music was great, the fellowship was great, God was in the house last night.

The Poor Man's After Tax Lunch was a huge success! Complete with fried baloney sandwiches, hot dogs and beans. The talent was awesome too - Sarah White, Gale and Amanda Atkins w/ Chill factor, 3 4 Thee, Steps of Faith our own Macy Sharp. It doesn't get any better than this.

Thanks to the United Methodist Men's Group and Jeff Graves for a wonderful afternoon. They even had some dancing in the streets.

As we close in on the Franklin Graham Festival - Tonight we practiced feeding our new babies. As we learned at Gravity, we are going to have thousands of new Christian babies among us. We have to be ready to take care of them. The youth fed each other baby food and bottles for practice.

Annie and Brittney coached LB and Eli on how to makeover Zach and Ian. Sometimes you have to ask for help so you will know how to do things. This will help you with your friends that you bring with you to the Franklin Graham festival. It is okay to ask for help. Your friends may be asking you for help on how to give their hearts to Jesus. Do you have your answer ready?

We also talked about our own spiritual mentors. Who has made an impact on our spiritual growth? Do not underestimate the power that you have to bring someone to Christ. You can make a difference. We all received a wonderful blessing tonight and look forward to attending REACH next Sunday.

Our Bake Sale for the Corryton Food Pantry was a huge success. We are so proud of our youth at Clapp's Chapel and Victory Baptist. They worked hard last night baking and this morning they did not miss a beat. We almost sold out of everything.

Currently, we have raised $425 to donate to the Pantry. Do you realize that they can purchase $2975 in food! God is so good. We will continue to take donations over the next two weeks if you were not able to make the sale.

We will be presenting the check to the Corryton Food Pantry at noon on April 19th at the Poor Man's After Tax Lunch.

Victory and CCUMC Baking for the Pantry

Tonight, Victory Baptist Youth joined our youth at CCUMC to bake for the Corryton Food Pantry. We all received a tremendous blessing tonight. Many of the congregation brought by baked goods. You came out and helped us bake (and use the very nice mixers). The kids from both groups got to know each other and I think this is just the beginning of a great new friendship.

Please come by the IGA to support our Mission Madness Project tomorrow from 9 AM - 1 PM. Our kids worked very hard tonight and I know they will be blessed with a huge return. All money made from our sale will be donated to the Corryton Food Pantry.

Corryton Food Pantry - April 2nd, 2008

We had a record number at the Pantry tonight - 24. We were done before we knew it. It is so wonderful to see our kids invite a friend. After the Pantry, the fellowship continued at the church.

Please join us on Friday night, baking and grilling. Our Bake Sale with Victory Baptist Church is Saturday, April 5th at the Midway IGA in Corryton from 9 AM - 1 PM.

All of our proceeds will go to the Corryton Food Pantry. Remember, for each dollar that is donated, they can purchase $7 worth of food. This is our youth's Mission Madness Project. Come out on Saturday and support our youth and the Pantry.

Youth Group - March 30th, 2008

We had a great night of youth. Dana set up the flour game. It was girls against the boys ~ Victory Girls. Then it was sibling rivalry - Go Annie, Sydney and Sarah!!!!!! Dana then led our youth in how to respond when your friends who are unchurched ask you about God.

What do you say? Are you prepared? Just because you cannot see God, does not mean that he is not there. Can you see germs on your hands? They are still there. Can you see hand sanitizer as you rub it on? Your testimony is a powerful thing - share it with a friend this week.

Youth Marketing for our Bake Sale

Tonight the youth were out in full force marketing for our Bake Sale on the 5th of April. The merchants at the Midway IGA shopping center let us post our flyers and the kids put them on cars. We got our first $1 donation in the parking lot.

Join us next Friday night, April 4th at the church at 6 PM. We will be baking the goods we are selling. Our friends from Victory Baptist youth will be joining us.

Tonight was the final night of Gravity and it has been a tremendous four weeks. Tonight our youth rode in style courtesy of Captain Ally. Thanks for the awesome mode of transportation. We have a special guest on the blog tonight ~our friends from Victory Baptist Church Youth.

Tonight we went over the care of new Christians. Hence, Operation Andrew.

"The first thing Andrew did was to find his brother Simon and tell him, "We have found the Messiah". And he brought his brother to Jesus" John 1:41-42.

The initial decision to accept Christ is only the beginning. Use Paul's strategy:

1. Give of yourself

2. Pray for them

3. Share your responsibilities when you can't be there for them

4. Write letters (email, text)

5. Spend time with them

His goal was their maturity.

New Christians need:

Feeding (1 Peter 2:2)

Protecting (1 Peter 5:8)

Training (Colossians2: 6-7)

What does God want from your life? Availability or Ability

Who is in control of your life? Christ or Self

What should you do with your life? Multiply and Invest

Start where you are.......with what you have......and do your best.

Remember, other's are watching you live this thing called life. The following are some practical things about your witness to keep in mind:

1. Your own life is a great part of your witness.

2. We earn the right to be heard by sincerely LISTENING to others.

3. You are presenting the person Jesus Christ.

4. Stress the love of God.

5. Keep it Simple.

Most of us have the fear of rejection. Remember, 95% of the time, they are not rejecting you, they are rejecting Christ. Some of us are here to Plant, others to Water and others to Harvest.

We all stumble, bumble and fumble - Have no fear - Engage in God.

Tonight the youth attended Gravity and our kids went to Live Out Loud. Our turnout was great! We had 13 adults, 14 youth and 9 children.

Adversity builds Character. What is your attitude towards adversity? Do you view adversity as a stepping-stone or a stumbling block?

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials" James 1:2-4

"We also rejoice in our sufferings......" Romans 5:3-5

God's Promise to us is fulfillment and joy.

Our problem is our sinful and selfish desire. It is our selfish and sinful desires that cause us to get off God's pathway. It leads to frustration, guilt, unhappiness and defeat.

God's Provision for us is forgiveness and restoration. God tells us how a sidetracked Christian can get back on the path.

Confess - agree with God
Forsake - turn back to God's Way
Accept - God will remember your sin no more
Repeat - repeat these steps over and over

Our Practice is obedience and surrender. Once back on the path we need to know how to avoid trouble again.

Set mind - One of the secrets in all spiritual progress is a disciplined mind.

Chosen path -

"I have chosen the way of truth; I have set my heart on your laws" Psalm 119:30

Time with God - spend time with God daily - Develop a relationship with Him.

Right Priorities - Put Jesus Christ at the center of your life.

Rock The City

Our youth attended the first official student event for the Franklin Graham Festival tonight, Rock the City. The bands Building 429 and Hawk Nelson were awesome. Always be an encourager. Build someone else up,.

The message came from Will Graham. Do you know why you wear a cross? You must come to the cross to let Jesus in to your heart. We will be learning more next Sunday, as the youth attend the first of four sessions, called Gravity.

Valentine's Day Banquet

The church was filled with love tonight. The Valentine's Banquet brought top shelf entertainment from Macy Sharp, Steps of Faith, and a return performance from the Mariachi Band. Calvin Cooter was an excellent emcee.

A great big thanks to the Nurture committee, led by Donna Boggs, for an awesome night of food, fun and fellowship.

Golden Anniversary Club

The Pantry - Monday Night Memories

Ash Wednesday provided us with an additional night of fellowship. The youth went to the pantry tonight so we can attend the Ash Wednesday service on our regular night. There were 17 of us in all. AWESOME!

We delivered the soup and donations that our congregation brought to church yesterday. We had several first timers too. Matthew Wheeler, Sydney and Alexis Greenwell made their first visit tonight and they are hooked.

This is the very best way to start the week!

Youth Group - The Perfect Super Bowl

The youth had Super Bowl Youth tonight. We began with a Devotional on the Perfect Super Bowl. The Patriots are going for a "perfect" season - 19 and 0. Did you know that Jesus demands perfection from his followers?

Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect. (Matthew 5:48)

God sees us as perfect in the future, which is why we should strive for perfection each day in the present.

You can't have a Super Bowl event without food. As we enjoyed subs, we paired up and interviewed each other to learn more about each other. We then shared what we learned with everyone. We finished up the night working on our service next Sunday, which, by the way, is going to be GREAT!
