Trunk or Treat was a huge success. A night filled with games, monster mashing, candy and a menu that included dogs on a bun, monster mash chili, wiggly cheese, blood (ketchup), smashed dandelions (mustard), fluffy clouds (mayonnaise), Flakes off of Bones (Chips) and Swamp Water (tea, lemonade, and water).

Our Judges, Angie, Dean and Wes Sharp aka, Here Comes Da Judges, unanimously voted the Boling Family had the Best Decorated Truck or Treat Vehicle.

Thank you Boling Family for your time and effort in supporting our Children - Sincerely the Youth Committee.

Thanks again to all for such a Monstrous Fellowship and Daring to show up.

UMM Chili Supper - October 18, 2008

Great turnout for the UMM chili supper last night. Awesome food, entertainment and fellowship. Three for Thee performed during dinner. Rick Davis entertained us with his hammer dulcimer.

The Beautiful Barbara Walker

Barbara and Bill welcomed us tonight before the chili dinner. Barbara is looking beautiful as always and is looking forward to a full recovery very soon. We learned tonight that Barbara is a very talented artist. I wanted to share some of her paintings with you. The girls had a great time playing with Harry and Gloria.

1 Corinthians 13:13 ~ And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

This One's for You Alice

I wanted to share with you a concert we attended at the Northside YMCA featuring DC Riggs and Dishwater Blonde - both christian bands. All of the money raised was donated to the Change A Life Campaign. This Campaign is so cool because it allows children, adults and families to participate in activities at the Y no matter what their income.

Some of the activities include swimming lessons, sporting leagues and fitness scholarships. I know many of you participate in activities at the Y. Tyler, Drew and Ryan Hackworth work at the Y. The Change A Life Campaign stays in the Halls area and benefits over 186 families. Hope you enjoy some of the fun and fellowship from the concert.
Thank you for the many cards and emails. We love and miss you all. Please pray that God will send us where he wants us to be. We have been visiting and staying close to God. I welcome anyone who would like to continue the blog. There is so much to share and so many hearts to touch.
